Setanta College is proud to support World Rugby in the launch of their latest online learning module – Introduction to Conditioning for Female Players – now live on World Rugby Passport.
This course is designed to equip coaches with foundational knowledge and skills in conditioning practices specifically tailored for female players. Through a series of modules, coaches will gain insights and practical techniques that can be applied to training female players effectively.
As World Rugby’s Education Partner, Setanta College was entrusted to design and produce the content, drawing on our experience in strength and conditioning, sports coaching, and applied performance science with contributions from subject matter experts Gráinne Donnelly and Jocelyn Solomons.
The module is currently available in English, with French and Spanish versions to follow. Work is already underway on the next stage – Advanced Conditioning for Female Players – ensuring continued support for coaches as they help athletes reach their full potential.
In the course, we include five Multiple Choice Questionnaires (MCQs). The MCQs relate to the content described in each module and are intended to help assess how well you understand the module.
The course consists of four modules:
- Training the Youth Female Athlete
- Female Athlete Health and Creating a Supportive Training Environment
- Movement Skills, Warm Ups and Screening Tools
- Introductory Components of Strength-Based Training.
An Advanced Conditioning for Female Players module is currently in development
➡️ Coaches can access the module now via World Rugby Passport.
